Article 4 Radio graphic Examination Procedure

第四条射线检测程序

1 Qualification资质

The operators shall be qualified I level, and the interpreters shall be qualified II level. NDE personnel shall be qualified in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A, ISO 9712 or EN 473 Level II or equivalent as a minimum. Supervisors responsible for overseeing and controlling NDE activities shall be Level III qualified.

操作人员应具备一级资质,口译员应具备二级资质。无损检测人员应至少符合ASNT SNT-TC-1AISO 9712EN 473 II级或同等标准。负责监督和控制无损检测活动的监督员应具备三级资格。

2 Surface preparation表面处理

2.1 There shall be little defects on surface of weld seams. 焊缝表面应无少量缺陷。

2.2 Surface of weld seams shall be grinded if not leveled. 焊缝表面如不平整,应打磨。

2.3 Surface shall be such that radiographic contrast due to surface condition cannot mask or be confused with that of any indication. 表面应确保因表面状况而产生的射线照相对比度不会掩盖或与任何指示混淆。

3 Method方法

3.1 Each fusion welded fittings shall be subject to a 100% X-ray radiographic examination of the weld seam. Gamma ray or isotopes and ultrasonic examination are not acceptable.

每个熔焊配件应对焊缝进行100%X射线照相检查。不接受伽马射线或同位素和超声波检查。

3.2 The radiographic examination for welders and for welding operators shall meet the requirements of Article 2, Section V, ASME IX except as follows:

焊工和焊接操作员的射线照相检查应符合ASME IX第五节第2条的要求,但以下情况除外:

(a) A written radiographic examination procedure is not required. Demonstration of density and image quality requirements on production or technique radiographs shall be considered satisfactory evidence of compliance with Article 2 of Section V, ASME IX.

不需要书面射线照相检查程序。密度演示生产或技术射线照片的图像质量要求应被视为符合ASME IX第五节第2条的令人满意的证据。

(b) Final acceptance of radiographs shall be based on the ability to see the prescribed image and the specified hole of a hole-type image quality indicator (IQI) or the designated wire of a wire-type IQI.

(c) The instrument model to be XXH-3505, to be calibrated every half year.

4 Identification and Marking识别和标记

4.1 Internal order no., Specification, weld seam no., film no., location marking, joint marking and date of film etc. shall be marked on the films.

薄膜上应标明内部订单号、规格、焊缝号、薄膜号、位置标记、接头标记和薄膜日期等。

4.2 Signal “R” shall be marked for the repaired films, and “1”,”2” for times of repair.

修复后的胶片应标记信号“R”,修复次数应标记“1”“2”

4.3 Marking shall be on the surface of material, instead of X-ray cassette.

标记应在材料表面,而不是X射线暗盒上。

5 Film type X-ray films shall be radiographic films for industry. 胶片型X射线胶片应为工业用射线照相胶片。

Film quality requirements shall be as follows: - Fine grain film (Class II) for x-ray; - An Image Quality Indicator (IQI) with sensitivity better than 2 % shall be achieved by means of source side location of the IQI. Where access only allows the use the technique shall be proved by means of a representative sample with IQI set source side and film side.

6 Acceptance Criteria验收标准

6.1 Qualification Test Welds. Welder and welding operator performance tests by radiography of welds in test assemblies shall meet the requirements of with UW-51 of ASME SEC.VIII.资格测试焊缝。通过对试验组件中的焊缝进行射线照相进行焊工和焊接操作员性能测试,应符合ASME第八卷UW-51的要求。

 (a) All welded joints to be radiographed shall be examined in accordance with Article 2 of Section V except as specified below. 除以下规定外,所有需进行射线照相的焊接接头应按照第五节第2条进行检查。

(1)A complete set of radiographs and records, as described in Article 2 of Section V,for each vessel or vessel part shall be retained by the Manufacturer, as follows: (-a)films until the Manufacturer's Data Report has been signed by the inspector;

(3) The requirements of T-274.2 of Article 2 of Section V are to be used only as a guide. Final acceptance of radiographs shall be based on the ability to see the prescribed penetrameter image and the specified hole of the designated wire of a wire penetrameter. 第五节第2T-274.2的要求仅用作指南。射线照片的最终验收应基于能够看到规定的透度计图像和线透度计指定线的指定孔

(4) As an alternative to the radiographic examination requirements above, all welds in material 1/4in.(6 mm) and greater in thickness may be examined using the ultrasonic (UT) method per the requirements of 7.5.5 of SectionVIII, Division 2. (b)Indications shown on the radiographs of welds and characterized as imperfections are unacceptable under the following conditions and shall be repaired as provided in UW-38, and the repair radiographed to UW-51 or, at the option of the Manufacturer,ultrasonically examined in accordance with the method described in Mandatory Appendix 12 and the standards specified in this paragraph, provided the defect has been confirmed by the ultrasonic examination to the satisfaction of the Authorized Inspector prior to making the repair. For material thicknesses in excess of 1 in.(25 mm), the concurrence of the user shall be obtained.This ultrasonic examination shall be noted under remarks on the Manufacturer's

Data Report Form:

t=the thickness of the weld excluding any allowable reinforcement. For a butt weld joining two members having different thicknesses at the weld, t is the thinner of these two If a full penetration weld includes a fillet weld, the thickness of the throat of the fillet shall be included in t.

7 Certifications 认证

Each item shall be detailed on the RT report for the AI’s review. RT films and reports shall be strictly kept in the archives.
